How To Make Money With Video Tutorials Free
We all watch YouTube video tutorials for all sorts of things, but there are other websites that you can use for selling your tutorials. Firstly do you like making videos? If you have always wanted to become a YouTuber and to make explanatory tutorials on how to learn a skill, perhaps use software or anything else that you well know how to do.
Have you heard of sites like Skillshare and Teachable? Both these sites are open to anyone who would like to upload a video tutorial on how to learn something. A top-selling video on Skillshare was of a man making a latte. On these platforms, each video you upload is watched for a cost.
This website has affiliate links that I earn a commission from without any extra cost to you. This means that if you click on a link and purchase something, I might make a little money. You will not be charged extra, and some of the affiliate links I use have discounts so stay tuned!
You may think that with all the free video tutorials on YouTube who would buy a paid tutorial?
Well firstly shocking as it may seem, there isn’t a tutorial about everything online for free.
Secondly, millions of people spend thousands of dollars on Skillshare and Teachable.
It may seem unbelievable, but therein lies the truth.
Where You Should Sign Up And Why
So if you want to make a mini tutorial and put it up on Skillshare it will cost you around 8-9$, but Teachable has a free subscription hidden underneath their paid plans on the page I have a link to.
Sign up and start your tutorials now! It could be about anything, and please do not think that there isn’t anything that you could make a tutorial about.
What Type Of Video Can I Make?
I write the following just to inspire my wonderful reader’s, but your options are endless.
Some people make videos on how to use Adobe Creative Cloud, and they upload them to teachable. I would love to pay for a mini video series on how to use the software. I cannot because blogging is a full-time job, and I do have other things going on in my life. Maybe someday!
The type of skills you can teach depends entirely on you. What are you knowledgeable about, or passionate about? Some of you may know website building with WordPress, which is a fantastic skill. I have spent hours watching videos about how to do several things on WordPress. Maybe you are proficient in English writing, and you can make some informative videos on how to write better.
Imagine you can share your knowledge for money.
Merge Affiliate Programmes With Your Videos
Almost all significant websites online have affiliate programmes that you can make some extra income from. For example, Adobe has an affiliate programme that (if you make videos about Adobe CC) you can put them in the descriptions of your tutorials.
How To Market Yourself For Maximum Income
Make a YouTube channel and put up the first part of your tutorial series there, and mention to your viewers that they can find your complete series on Teachable.
Use your social media accounts to promote yourself. Today Pinterest, Instagram, and Facebook facilitate a business account, which is free for you to use. Build your account around your niche and the things you offer. Social media is fantastic for this sort of project because, thousands of people can see what you can offer, and even if a few hundred are interested you will make serious money.
Join an online forum related to your topic, they are free, and after you have commented several times, you will be able to add links in your posts redirecting forum members to your tutorials. Joining online forums is highly underrated, but I have found it highly useful.
Anyone Can Join
For all the websites I have mentioned the age limit is between 13-15, or the verbal permission of your parents. So have fun all you budding teens. 😉 Younger people have not yet built up the barriers around themselves that prevent them from trying out the impossible. Your youth is the most creative time of your life! At MIT, professors like working with younger individuals because, at that age, we all live outside the box.
